After growing up in Farmington, CT, Dr. Jhaveri pursued a business degree from the University of Richmond. After several years in marketing, he transitioned into bone cell biology research at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he authored several scientific papers. Dr. Jhaveri was fortunate to be accepted the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine thereafter, graduating in 2011. He completed a General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital in 2012. His philosophy of care begins with the whole person and filters down to their oral health. Dr. Jhaveri describes his style of practice as compassionate, gentle, conservative, preventative, and educational. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jhaveri enjoys playing trumpet for the Plainville Wind Ensemble and Center Stage Jazz Band. He enjoys tennis, cycling, and discovering new foods/restaurants. He lives with his wife and young son in the greater Hartford area.
Sydney Spal attended Fordham University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a concentration in pre-med. She then spent a year after college conducting research at Montefiore Medical Center where she developed her passion for dentistry and graduated from Touro College of Dental Medicine in 2022.Dr. Spal takes great joy in building long-lasting relationships with her patients. She strives to develop a trusting and personal connection. Believing that patient education is key to maintaining optimal oral health, she certainly takes the time to thoroughly explain procedures and answer any questions you may have. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Spal loves food. She enjoys cooking, checking out new places to eat, exercising, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog Einstein
I have been part of the WDA team for 38 years. Our team is committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all our patients. I have enjoyed watching our patients grow from toddlers to adults with their own toddlers. In my spare time I love spending time with my children and grandchildren.
Vickie has been in the dental field for over 22 years. Starting out as an assistant for 19 years before switching over to the front desk, 3 years ago. Today she is happy to be part of a team that helps navigate patients thru their treatment options. She will assist in financial and insurance coordination in order to meet each individual’s needs.
When she isn’t busy at work she enjoys spending time with her 2 college age children and 2 amazing granddaughters. When she has free time outside of work she enjoys gardening, soaking up the sun by the pool and her trips to beach in the summer with her family.
Shaun is our full-time hygienist. She is friendly, motivated, conscientious, and experienced in dental hygiene. She has been with WDA since 2016 after working for both general and periodontal practices. In total, she brings with her 18 years of dental hygiene and dental assisting experience. She is driven to provide patient satisfaction by building relationships with her patients. She promotes only the highest standard of care with an emphasis on patient education. Shaun goes above and beyond to ensure a productive and satisfying experience for all her patients. When Shaun is not working, she enjoys skiing and photography.
Nichole A. Grant is a dedicated Dental Assistant with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. She received her certification from Tunxis Community College where she was taught to be skilled in chairside assisting, sterilization procedures, and patient education. Her warm personality and attention to detail create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients. Nichole is committed to staying current with advancements in dental technology and techniques to ensure the highest standard of care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and making artwork.
